DME Assam Informs On Mop Up Round, Spot Admission For NEET PG Candidates

Assam: The Director of Medical Education (DME Assam) informed about offline mop-up round counselling and spot admission into vacant postgraduate seats in Govt. Medical Colleges of Assam and 11.13.C.I., Guwahati under Assam State Quota, for NEET PG session 2022.
As per the notice, the counselling schedule will be held on 17th November 2022 at the office of the DME, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

The following candidates are eligible -
1. Candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2022 conducted by the National Board of Examination may participate in the Offline counselling provided they fulfil all the eligibility criteria as per "Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021" as well as meet the cut-off scores in NEET PG-2022.
2. The name and NEET PG-2022 Roll No. of the candidate must be present in the list of eligible candidates published by this Directorate earlier.
The following candidates are non-eligible to participate -
1. The candidates who have joined up to round 2 of AIQ or state quota shall not be eligible to participate in the said Mop-up counselling of 50% of State Quota seats & State Health Service Quota.
On 1st November 2022, the NEET PG round 2 counselling process was held at the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22, from noon onwards. Candidates who appeared in NEET-PG-2022 conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi and who meet the cut-off scores in NEET-PG-2022 and who are eligible for State Health Service Quota as per the " Medical Colleges of Assam ( Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses)Rules,2021" were allowed to participate.
The Directorate of Medical Education, Assam, Training and Research, Assam was established in 1984 under the control of the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam. It promotes expertise in medical science in different streams like Allopathic, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic medicine and paramedical science, and health care facilities to the people of Assam through different hospitals under the Directorate. It promotes research in the field of medical science in the state of Assam.
