The MCC has issued a revised counseling schedule for NEET UG - 2022 (available on the DCI Website) for All India Quota / Deemed / Central / AIIMS / JIPMER Seats/ State Quota, and the last date of joining is 21st December 2022 for the academic year 2022-23. As per the revised schedule issued by the Government of India, the commencement date of the Academic Session for the BDS Course for 2022- 23 is 15th November 2022.
Now, the colleges need to upload the details using their already allotted new login credentials for admissions (https://portal.dciindia.gov.in/login) on or before the last date of joining, i.e., 21st December 2022 (midnight).
If the college authorities claim any admission after midnight of 21st December 2022, then Section 10B of the Dentists (Amendment) Act, 1993 and/or Section 16A of the Dentists Act, 1948, as the case may be, will be attracted. It will be presumed that the college authorities have not admitted such candidates to BDS Course at their college for the academic session 2022-23.
DCI has further instructed the colleges to upload the details gradually (as soon as the candidates join) to avoid unnecessary delay, undue pressure, and technical fault on the network in uploading the details of the students at the last moment of the cut-off date. No request for an extension of time to upload the above details of candidates or any other excuse or reason for the technical fault, etc., will be considered.
It has come to the notice of DCI that some colleges are uploading the details of the candidates who are not admitted to their colleges. The college where the candidate is taking admission is facing the problem of uploading the details. The colleges are requested to submit the details of the candidates who have been admitted to their college. In case of furnishing any wrong/incorrect information, it will be open to DCI to initiate action against the college.
Only the uploaded details of students on the DCI portal will be forwarded to the State Dental Councils / Tribunals for registration of BDS Qualification. Only uploaded details of students on the DCI Website will be considered, and any detail of candidates received in any other format, viz. e-mail or hard copy, will not be considered.
