COVID 19 Impact: MCC Extends Deadline For Seats Resignation From Round 1 AIQ Allotment

New Delhi: Through a recent notice, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has informed about the extension of the deadline for Resignation of PG Medical seats allotted under All India quota Round-1 counselling due to ongoing coronavirus outbreak and lockdown.
The concerned candidates are requested to view the belowmentioned details of the said notice as uploaded on the official website of MCC:
Keeping in view that many State Counselling have been delayed/not completed on the scheduled time due to the COVID-19 outbreak, it has been decided by the Competent Authority to allow the Candidates who have joined their allotted college of Round 1 (both online/offline mode), to resign from their allotted seat by 5:00 p.m. of 18th May 2020 (Monday).
Such candidates will have to send information to the allotted college by email or report physically requesting for their resignation and the respective college will resign the seat online on www.intramcc.nic.in within the stipulated time and these seats will come back in the system for allotment in Round 2.
Colleges are requested to E-mail the resignation letter to the candidates.

Earlier, in compliance with the Madras High Court orders, the Directorate General Of Health Services (DGHS) had extended the deadline for Resignation of PG Medical seats allotted under All India quota Round-1 counselling.
Many state counselling authorities are unable to not conduct the admission procedure due to coronavirus outbreak and lockdown, and with the earlier deadline which was further extended to 8th May, there was major confusion concerning the PG Medical admissions this year.

MCC is conducting the counselling for the following Institutions/Universities:-
a) 50% All India Quota seats of all states except J&K.
b) 100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions mentioned in Important Questions related to Scheme of Counselling duly uploaded on MCC website.
c) 100% seats of Deemed Universities.
d) 50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
e) All P.G seats of Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions(only Registration part).
f) Central Institutes, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, ABVIMS & RML Hospital and ESIC Institute, PGIMSR, Basaidarapur(50% All India Quota seats and 50% seats of I.P University).
