Coronavirus Update: Care Hospitals To Resume Its Medical Services

Hyderabad - CARE Hospitals has recently announced that the hospital will reopen all its medical services including Out Patient Departments (OPDs) and elective care services.
This commitment is a part of the group's focus to provide full-service capabilities to its patients amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

To ensure the safety of the patients and employees, the hospital has put in place numerous social distancing and infection control protocols to control the spread of the virus.
A separate facility and medical staff have been set up for treating the COVID-19 patients and to ensure that other patients, caregivers and employees at the hospital are not exposed to the environment.
Elaborating on the protocols, Lt. General (Dr) AK Das, CARE Hospitals Group Chief Medical Services, CARE Hospitals, said, "The facility has been equipped with adequate sanitization measures.
The out-patients departments have been redesigned with glass partitions to minimize contact between the patient and the doctor and anybody entering the premises has to go through a three-step screening process.
We have also allotted single rooms for patients coming in for surgeries and will be allotted different medical teams for different cases to ensure that only the doctor and designated paramedic personnel treating the patient will have access."
Any patient at the OPD showing symptoms of flu or respiratory issues will be isolated and transferred to a separate facility to avoid any transmission and minimalize contact with other patients and visitors.
A team of the senior medical staff at the hospital will meet, monitor and audit the situation daily to ensure that the protocols laid down are followed," he explained.
"With partial relaxation by the government, CARE Hospitals is all set to resume regular patient care in full swing with extensive precautions and social distancing protocols in place.
