Bihar Govt Assures To Consider Demand For Creating Post Of Junior Residents In BDS Colleges

Patna: The Bihar government today assured to look into the demands for creating the post of Junior Residents (JR) in Bihar Dental Surgery (BDS) colleges in the state.
Replying to a short noticed question of Lalit Yadav during pre-lunch sitting, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey said that the National Medical Commission (NMC) has not made the post of JR compulsory in the medical colleges.

He, however, said that the government would look into the demand for JR in BDS colleges made by the member.
Through his supplementary, Yadav had demanded the appointment of junior residents in the BDS colleges on the pattern of MBBS colleges in the state.
In his reply, the Minister said that in dental colleges the post of senior resident (SR), associate professor cum professor and professor of dentistry had been sanctioned, who are providing the treatment facilities.
