Bengaluru Govt Hospital Gets Rs 1.76 Crore CT Scan Machine From HAL

Bengaluru: Public sector HAL has donated a 32 Slice Computed Tomography (CT) scan machine, costing about Rs 1.76 crore, to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College & Research Institute (SABVMC&RI), Bengaluru on Monday.
A Memorandum of Agreement was signed between HAL by Mr Venkateswara Rao, GM (HR-CSR & FM) and SABVMC&RI represented by Dr Manoj Kumar, Director-cum-Dean in the presence of Rajender Kumar Kataria, Principal Secretary to Government, the Horticulture and Sericulture Department, Government of Karnataka, Mr R Madhavan, CMD, HAL, Alok Verma, Director (HR)-HAL and others.

Speaking on the occasion, HAL CMD Madhavan said that such medical aid is the need of the hour and will be useful in diagnosing the patients including those suffering from COVID-19.
Mr Kataria said that the HAL's contribution to SABVMC&RI is a noble gesture that will improve the quality of medical services imparted by the hospital.
