Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell Admission Notice

Mumbai: Through a recent notice, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell (Maha CET Cell) has informed about the commencement of Admission process for All India Quota (AIQ) (15%) Seats in Private Unaided Institute for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses of the State of Maharashtra.

Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell is designated authority to conduct admission process for All India Quota (AIQ) (15%) Seats of Private Unaided Institute for Undergraduate (BAMS/BHMS/BUMS) and Postgraduate (MD/MS) Courses for the Academic Year 2020-21.

Desirous Candidates are hereby notified to read the Instructions, Eligibility Rules and register themselves as per the schedule given below:

Rules for Admission:

  • Seats under all India Quota will be open in nature and there shall not be any requirement for domicile in a particular State/UT or passing of 10+2 in a particular State/UT.
  • Candidates already registered for State Counselling if desirous for admission in All India Quota (AIQ) (15%) Seats of Private Unaided Institute for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses for academic year 2020-21 will have to register again for All India Quota.
  • State/UT counselling authority shall conduct 02 Rounds for all India quota Private seats. After 02 Rounds, in case of vacancy, vacant seats shall be converted into the State/UT Quota.
  • Other criteria will remain the same as for All India Quota seats as mentioned on AACCC official Counselling website namely https://aaccc/gov.in/.

Eligibility Rule:

  • Passing Marks for eligibility in admission to ASU & H UG Courses should be as per the ASU & H UG regulation and will be followed strictly. Admissions without fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be considered as invalid and seat may be cancelled accordingly. The details of marks required in 12th Standard for different categories are as follows:
    • The candidates must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognised by the concerned State Government and Education Board with the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually.
    • Minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of General Category.
    • 40% Marks in PCB in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (as per centre list).
    • In respect of persons with disability candidate specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination are as follows:
      • In Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be 45% in the case of general category. (for PwD candidates only)
      • 40% in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. (for PwD candidates only)
  • For PwD candidates, PwD certificate should be as per the guidelines issued by Central Government and notified by the CCIM/CCH. (Available on counselling website under notices section).

Candidates should apply online on www.mahacet.org and the detailed schedule shall be as follows:

4. Publication of Provisional Merit List for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses Only 06.12.2020 by 08:00 AM
5. Declaration of selection list of 1st Round for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses Only 09.12.2020 after 05:00 PM
6. Last date of joining to the selected college during 1st round for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses Only 19.12.2020 upto 05:00 PM
