                            Chennai:Global biopharmaceutical giantAstraZenecahas announced fresh investments of Rs 176 crore in India, reinforcing its commitment to healthcare innovation and technology. The announcement was made during the Tamil Nadu government’s “TN Rising” campaign in London,coinciding withChief Minister M.K. Stalin’s visit to the United Kingdom. The investment will expand the Global Innovation and Technology Centre’s infrastructure and capabilities to strengthen its position as a leader in healthcare innovation both globally and in India, a company statement said here on Saturday. It is the third investment by AstraZeneca after it announced investments of Rs 166 crore in June towards the establishment of a state-of-the-art Global Hub in Bengaluru.
