Kayakalp Award for Titabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital

Jorhat: The Titabor Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital has received the Kayakalp Award from the National Rural Health Mission under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for its unprecedented healthcare facilities provided to people and for maintaining high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and infection control within the premises.

The Ministry has been running this award to appreciate and encourage hospitals to maintain a clean environment along with health facilities within the hospitals. To incentivize and recognize such public healthcare facilities that show exemplary performance in adhering to standard protocols of cleanliness and infection control, the best hospitals in this consideration are presented with a leadership award.

The award has its widespread wings, as it is not only given to district-level hospitals but also to sub-divisional hospitals and primary health centres.

Virendra Mittal, Jorhat deputy commissioner, told TOI, “We are very happy and feeling proud after getting information of the award. I congratulate the Titabor sub-divisional administration, doctors, nurses, and other staff of the hospital for the achievement.”

A senior health officer stated that the main objective of the Kayakalp award is to promote cleanliness within public healthcare hospitals and facilities.
