Andhra Pradesh Govt To Set Up 13 New Medical Colleges, Rs 120 Crore Hospital

Vijayawada: In a drive to support medical education and healthcare-system in Andhra Pradesh, the government is set to initiate the set-up of 13 medical colleges and construct a district hospital in Gudivada over 30 acres of land.
Confirmation to this effect has been given by Civil Supplies Minister Kodali Nani.
The government-launched Aarogyasri healthcare scheme, according to him, shall support the lakhs of people of the state with its health and education infrastructure. In his address to the people of the village, he elaborated on the welfare schemes that are being implemented by the state for the strengthening of the medicare structure for the common man. He added that the hospital will be constructed with a sanctioned budget of Rs 120 crores.

The announcement comes as a part of the ongoing Padayatra by YSRCP leaders during which K Nani visited Puttagunta village in Nandivada Mandal in Krishna district to mark the completion of 3,000 km by CM Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the state.
He also inaugurated the statue of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy during the Padayatra, welcomed by several villagers.
T Vijay Bhaskar Reddy and Abburi Bhaskara Rao were two of the local leaders who welcomed Kodali Nani, reports The Hans India.
