Bhopal: In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old nurse at a private hospital in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, allegedly committed suicide after injecting herself with an overdose of anesthesia in a hostel room.
The deceased has been identified as Vishakha Kahar, a resident of the Narmadapuram district. She was a nurse at Narmada hospital.
The incident occurred on Saturday night at around 9. 30 pm when Vishakha was alone in her room and allegedly killed herself by taking an overdose of anesthesia.
Her colleague, Pooja staying in the next room, was shocked to discover Vishaka lying unconscious on her bed. When Pooja entered the room to check Vishaka's condition, she saw Vishaka had committed suicide.

She immediately informed hospital management and Vishaka was rushed to the hospital. She was admitted to the ICU but was declared dead by the doctors moments later. Following this, the police were informed.
While investigating the room, the police found a set of syringes and an empty bottle of anesthesia on the spot. It was also revealed that she injected the anesthesia into her left hand.
No suicide note was recovered from the scene. The police have seized the mobile phone of the victim and are taking the help of the cyber expert to open the lock of the phone.
According to the hospital management, she was on duty till 8 pm on Saturday night before she took extreme step to end her life. Her parents were informed when Vishhaka was admitted to the ICU. Unfortunately, when they reached the hospital she was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, her family members have demanded a fair probe into the matter. However, police are yet to identify the reason for her sudden death. The body has been sent for post-mortem and is expected to reveal the reason, reports Free Press Journal.
During Pooja's' statement, the police found something odd as the door to Visakha's room was not yet known to be closed or open which indicates the case could be a planned murder. The post-mortem report is the key to determining the cause of her death.
A case has been registered by the police and an investigation is underway.
